Set three years after the events of the original Rampage (2018), Rampage 2: The Evolution brings back Davis Okoye (Dwayne Johnson), the primatologist dedicated to protecting wildlife and studying the aftermath of the CRISPR-based pathogen that transformed animals into massive monsters.
A rogue biotech corporation emerges, seeking to weaponize the mutation pathogen. They unleash a new wave of genetically altered creatures—including a colossal condor, a venomous giant scorpion, and a hybrid aquatic predator—each posing unique and deadly threats . In some versions of the story, other mutant beasts appear: a massive tiger with camouflage abilities, a sea serpent capable of destroying naval fleets, and a flying reptilian creature terrorizing cities from the sky.
As these towering monsters wreak havoc across the globe—from oceans and jungles to sprawling urban centers—Davis Okoye reunites with his trusty albino gorilla companion George. Alongside Dr. Kate Caldwell (Naomie Harris), who returns from the first film, and a task force of government operatives, they race against time to stop the escalating carnage and uncover the corporate conspiracy behind it.
