Jurassic World: Rebirth (2025), directed by Gareth Edwards and written by David Koepp, is the seventh installment in the Jurassic Park franchise. Set five years after Jurassic World: Dominion, the film explores a world where Earth’s ecology has become inhospitable to dinosaurs, forcing the remaining creatures to survive in isolated equatorial regions resembling their original habitats.

The story follows Zora Bennett (Scarlett Johansson), a skilled covert operations expert, who is hired by pharmaceutical executive Martin Krebs (Rupert Friend) to lead a mission with paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis (Jonathan Bailey). Their objective is to extract DNA samples from three of the largest remaining dinosaur species—the aquatic Mosasaurus, the terrestrial Titanosaurus, and the avian Quetzalcoatlus—to develop a groundbreaking heart disease treatment.
During their mission on Île Saint-Hubert, a remote island once used by InGen for genetic experiments, the team encounters a civilian family whose boat was capsized by aquatic dinosaurs. Stranded together, they uncover a dark secret: the island harbors mutated dinosaur species, including the six-limbed Distortus Rex and flying Mutadons, products of InGen’s failed experiments.
As the team navigates the perilous island, they face numerous challenges, including attacks from mutated dinosaurs and internal betrayals. In the end, Zora and Dr. Loomis decide to distribute the life-saving medication derived from the dinosaur DNA freely, without patenting it, to ensure global accessibility.
Jurassic World: Rebirth combines action, suspense, and ethical dilemmas, offering a fresh perspective on the Jurassic Park universe while addressing themes of scientific responsibility and the consequences of genetic manipulation.
