The Reef: Stalked is a survival horror thriller directed by Andrew Traucki. The film follows two sisters, Nic and Annie, who embark on a paddleboarding trip in a remote part of the ocean to recover from the trauma of Nic’s recent loss of her fiancé. While out at sea, they become the targets of a great white shark, which relentlessly stalks them, turning their peaceful trip into a fight for survival.

As the sisters struggle to stay afloat and avoid being attacked, they are joined by a friend, who tries to help them stay safe. However, they soon realize that the shark is cunning and has learned their movements. In a desperate bid to survive, they try to signal for help by using a helicopter they spot overhead. However, the helicopter pilot, who seems aware of the danger, abandons them. Left to their own devices, the sisters must rely on their instincts and courage to escape the increasingly perilous situation.
As the shark grows more aggressive, the characters are forced to make increasingly difficult decisions, testing their survival instincts and the strength of their bond as sisters. The tension escalates as they attempt to outsmart the predator, but the ocean’s vastness and the shark’s speed make the situation ever more dire.
The Reef: Stalked explores themes of fear, loss, and survival. The film is a suspenseful journey through a terrifying battle against nature’s most dangerous predator, showcasing the characters’ resilience and the harsh reality of being trapped in the open ocean with no escape.
